Service Description

The primary focus of prenatal yoga is to promote relaxation, reduce stress, alleviate common discomforts such as back pain and nausea, and prepare the body for childbirth. We emphasize safe movements and modifications to accommodate the changing anatomy of the pregnant body, including poses that strengthen the pelvic floor, improve flexibility, and enhance balance. We will incorporate breathing exercises (pranayama) that can help expecting mothers manage pain during labor and delivery. These breathing techniques aim to increase oxygen flow, calm the mind, and cultivate a sense of connection between mother and baby. This series provides a nurturing environment for pregnant women to stay active, alleviate discomfort, and cultivate mindfulness as they journey through pregnancy and prepare for childbirth. Lauren is a certified Prenatal Yoga Instructor and has over 10 years experience working with the discomfort and health issues that may come with pregnancy.
